We hope you can join this lecture — part of the monthly lecture series, You Don't Know What You Don't Know!
In this month's episode, we'll learn from Josh Reiter, Satellite Imagery Producer and Communicator with the Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere (CIRA) in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Josh is part of the Imagery Production team, utilizing geostationary and polar-orbiting satellites to create daily animations of noteworthy and captivating meteorological phenomena. He also helps curate satellite imagery at the request of NOAA and various media outlets, some of which has been showcased nationally and internationally. During his time with the Imagery Production team, Josh has covered many impactful weather events from around the world, including tropical cyclones, severe weather outbreaks, winter storms, and wildfires, as well as auroras and solar eclipses. Josh has a bachelor's degree in Operational Meteorology from Mississippi State University. Prior to joining CIRA, Josh was an on-air meteorologist at a news station in Oklahoma.
